Marketplace

The Iwa marketplace consists mainly of building-based stores. There are only a few occasional stands that are set up, selling whatever may be considered exotic. Otherwise, there are shops for groceries and such, some of which are rather expensive considering the isolation of the village.

Onsen

The Iwa Onsen is often kept quite hot. With many sunny days and plenty of natural resources, it is not difficult to maintain. It is a rectangular building outside which a river runs down the mountain side.

Training Grounds

Iwa training grounds consists of a roughly flat platform that is quite large, and some rising rocks. Around the edges, where there is risk of falling, is a wall of stone that has stood for many years and never been penetrated. There is a little grass, but not much. Training grounds take up the majority of the mountain side.

Academy

The Iwa academy seems to be quite optimistic, if not as much as Konohagakure's. It is a sturdy stone and wood, single-floored building that stretches out for two blocks of houses. It is fairly narrow, fitting only a single classroom in each length, and the rest of the school's property is taken up by a grassless field. A metal fence separates the building from the field.

Chiyuo Range

The Chiyuo Mountain Range is known for its diversity in terrain. To the north are the snowiest peaks, although all the mountains are white at the top. Trees cover the majority of the mountainsides, and at the bases. To the east is a fairly treacherous area of tumbling rocks and sand. Lakes and rivers dot the Chiyuo Range, and are clear for drinking, under most circumstances.

Shinobi Housing

There are no known apartments in Iwagakure. There are only small inns, and residences. The inns are quite friendly towards visitors, and prices are reasonable. Most have small diners. Houses are generally made of wood.

Tsuchikage Building

Also known as the Iwa Administration Building, the Tsuchikage Building is located at the base of the temple steps. It is not much taller than the other buildings, but is boldly tagged as a special structure. It has never been destroyed or rebuilt, or even vandalized. Citizens of Iwagakure are quite respectful of the Tsuchikage and his or her work, whoever it happens to be. Missions will be assigned here, and people can make requests.
