| Isn't it weird that we can have people growing up in the same village in the same area for entire lives and not know each other? They might have chanced encountered some people from other villages as well. Want to establish previous relationships with other characters? Make a thread for your character to do just that.

| Through this forest is a 3-metre-wide dirt path that connects Konohagakure and Sunagakure. It is mainly a straight trace, but may have some obvious corners and ditches. The forest itself is quite vast, and consists of a mix of both deciduous and coniferous trees. During the night, it is a common wolf attraction, and a gathering place for nukenin. All sorts of creatures are known to roam this area.

| This mountain range borders the village of Hidden Stone. It consists of very tall mountains that are well into the clouds, and passage over them is required to reach Iwagakure. There is also another path, which is used by wagoners and travellers moving quickly. However, it is inhabited by many thieves.

| Zamabasa Brook is the name of the constantly-running body of water that starts early in the north, at the borders of the Wind Country, and branches off many times once it reaches the border of Fire Country. The water is quite clear, and more often than not fit for drinking, if with a little risk. Only a few freshwater fish swim these waters.

| Komaya Lake is a beautiful body of water that is found in the depths of Senpuu Forest. There are a few tall rock formations here, and have visibly been worn down by what water may have once run over them. There is often a mist settled just above these depths, and it can be a mystical sight to behold, especially with the aid of moonlight.

| Wasayou is a quiet place that seems open to relaxation. However, it is important to be aware of what lurks here, be it wild animals or humans. It is easy to find oneself in the middle of what appears to be nowhere, with nothing but the tall, yellow and green stalks of the meadow for company.

| Rikyuuria Ocean is located around the main area of land, bordering Fire Country, Wind Country, and Tea Country. The depths are not as clear as they used to be due to careless littering and anything else that may find its way into the ocean. The water is generally the usual blue and green, and there are many shores from which Rikyuuria can be accessed, from sheer cliffs to sandy shores. There are also many creatures that dwell here, many of them dangerous if ever approached or nearby.

| | The marketplace at Konoha tends to be made up of stores that permanently reside in buildings. These include the Yamanaka Flower Shop, of which ownership has been passed down through the generations of the Yamanaka clan. Also set up regularly, though not permanently, are the stands that sell a huge variety of items. Better known is the Ichiraku Ramen Bar. eneath a tarp overhang, which is labeled 'Ichiraku,' is a bar-like counter with four stools positioned before it. Behind it lies the cash register, the server and cashier, and a curtained doorway to the kitchen.

| | The Hokage Monument was erected in respect of the past Hokage. It consists of the faces of the previous Hokage carved into stone, and they tower above the village of Konohagakure. From left to right, the Hokage are numbered the First to the Seventh. Shodai Hokage, Nidaime Hokage, Sandaime Hokage (Sarutobi), Yondaime, Godaime (Tsunade), Rokudaime (Naruto), and Nanadaime. The Eighth is currently being elected, and will not be shown in the Monument until he or she resigns or is deceased.
The Administration Building consists of three spherical buildings, the middle one being the largest, are positioned in the middle. They are a pale red and circumferentially roofed in yellow. Around these buildings is a rectangular corridor roofed in red, that seems to have been put together in sections. This is also where missions are assigned.

| | The residential area of Konohagakure is widespread, including apartments and houses of varying price ranges, the hospital, and the onsen. The hot springs are open regularly, pathed with smooth stone and housed in a wooden structure. Outside is a heated river that is passable via a wooden bridge, and inside is a divider between men and women. The building itself is nestled between two large slabs of rock.

| | The ninja academy of Konohagakure is the very image of a school. It appears very much like an elementary school of modern day, with a slightly lower budget. It is mainly wooden, but has not caught fire in more than twenty years. The building is mainly a light brown with a red roof. Inside, there are hallways that lead to classrooms that are entered through sliding doors. Each room consists of a lecture-type set up of conjoined wooden desks with wooden chairs and a large chalkboard. Outside are many trees, with a few swing sets, and a large, hard-packed field. Surrounding the academy is a tall, wooden fence.
Further out, are common areas to gather genin teams. As the name suggests, it is a training area for shinobi. Within a forest near the residential area of the village are many fields that are used for that purpose. There are tall, thick wooden posts that are used for offensive attacks. Some are equipped with straw dummies. A large stream also runs through here, and is about 3 metres deep. The training grounds are also home to the black memorial in which all the names of shinobi who lost their lives while on duty are carved.

| The Suna marketplace is not the prettiest place to make any purchases, but there is almost certainly something for one's needs. The sand can mask some significant things, as well as anything that might be illegal, and people come from all over to sell their wares. Stores are often set up as simple stands that can be upped and removed at will.

| The desert area of Sunagakure, without any guidance, can be a dangerous place to be. The wind is constantly blowing, and more so than just a breeze. This casts the sand into the air, which can make it difficult to breath or see, or even hear above the whistling. The desert here is quite vast, and has many ditches that are virtually impossible to locate. Along the borders of the desert are rocky cliffs that will eventually lead to Fire Country.

| The training grounds of Sunagakure are really no different in circumstances from others. It is mainly composed of sand and rocky cliffs, and shinobi are expected to find ways to train themselves, or to train with others.
| 0 | 0 | |
| Like most villages, Sunagakure has both apartments and houses. Most shinobi also live in apartments, and most villagers live in houses that are purchased.

| The shinobi academy of Sunagakure is not unlike other villages'. It is certainly more durable due to the constant windy weather, and is made more of stone than of wood, which is much too scarce around the desert to be used much at all. It has a tan, brownish hue to it. There is a small area for play, large enough for a game of soccer, and a swing set. Inside are the classrooms set up with desks and chairs.

| Also known as the Suna Administration Building, the Kazekage Building is rather tall, although still squat compared to most villages' structures. It is in the shape of a giant, layered gourd. It is set in an indentation in the earth, and the entrance is located at the base. Inside, metal has been used to stabilize the structure, and leads off to the mission area and many other rooms used for administration.

| From the message building, messages can be sent to other areas. For the most part, letters and scrolls are written only if they are of importance, as entire families usually reside in a single area. Anyone can send a message, provided a small fee is paid.

| The marketplace at Kirigakure consists mainly of stands that are set up daily by shopkeepers selling many different things. The area closer to the inner region of the village tends to consist of food stalls and benches, and others sell whatever potions and trinkets that may be available. Beware, thieves may be about, and not all prices are reasonable.

| Kirigakure is almost entirely inhabited by shinobi and villagers residing in their own residencies, or those who are renting. There are a few areas open to the public, similar to an inn, but little else in that category. Houses are usually wooden, and have large roofs.

| Kiri training grounds stand between the village and the nearby marshlands. It is mainly damp, grassy field, and tall trees surrounding it. Lake Inaetou is nearby, as well, and there is usually a thinner mist here than in other areas. There are sturdy, wooden posts, some of which that are beginning to rot from the constant moisture, that are situated evenly along the ground.

| Also known as the Kiri Administration Building, the Mizukage Building is from where the Mizukage will conduct most duties. It is a slightly out-of-the-way structure that appears to be almost like a simple post-office building with multiple floors. The base floor is for shinobi missions, the second floor is for conferences and other business, and the third floor is reserved for the Mizukage and his or her desk.

| Kirigakure's academy has long been much darker in comparison to other academies. Teachers are known to be much more strict, and quite bent on perfection and iciness. However, it has since changed its ways since its genin-to-chuunin graduation exercise was changed. The same strictness exists, but the killer intent that was so drilled into learning minds is no longer a part of the curriculum.

| Koubi Forest borders Kirigakure on most sides that the water does not, and the evergreens are immensely tall. In the depths of this forest is the former cone-shaped structure that used to be the quarters of Momochi Zabuza, but is now deserted. It is unknown if anyone has taken up any residence there. Like any other forest, there are animals such as birds and coyotes.

| Lake Inaetou is the main lake of Kirigakure. Before the Great Naruto Bridge was built, this was only the way to cross from Konohagakure to the Wave Country. It has always been bordered with mangroves, and there is almost always a mist that settles over it and masks the arrival and escapes of various boats. On the shore, there is an ideal area to train, but it can become rather dark and lone shinobi are warned away.

| The Kiri hot springs tend to be a little less populated than most other areas. Since there is mist all over, constantly, however, it is difficult to keep the location from getting stuffy and suffocating, and the water warm. The building is situated near the residential area, and is circular in structure. Inside, the tubs are circular as well, and divided between men and women.

| The Iwa marketplace consists mainly of building-based stores. There are only a few occasional stands that are set up, selling whatever may be considered exotic. Otherwise, there are shops for groceries and such, some of which are rather expensive considering the isolation of the village.

| The Iwa Onsen is often kept quite hot. With many sunny days and plenty of natural resources, it is not difficult to maintain. It is a rectangular building outside which a river runs down the mountain side.

| Iwa training grounds consists of a roughly flat platform that is quite large, and some rising rocks. Around the edges, where there is risk of falling, is a wall of stone that has stood for many years and never been penetrated. There is a little grass, but not much. Training grounds take up the majority of the mountain side.

| The Iwa academy seems to be quite optimistic, if not as much as Konohagakure's. It is a sturdy stone and wood, single-floored building that stretches out for two blocks of houses. It is fairly narrow, fitting only a single classroom in each length, and the rest of the school's property is taken up by a grassless field. A metal fence separates the building from the field.

| The Chiyuo Mountain Range is known for its diversity in terrain. To the north are the snowiest peaks, although all the mountains are white at the top. Trees cover the majority of the mountainsides, and at the bases. To the east is a fairly treacherous area of tumbling rocks and sand. Lakes and rivers dot the Chiyuo Range, and are clear for drinking, under most circumstances.

| There are no known apartments in Iwagakure. There are only small inns, and residences. The inns are quite friendly towards visitors, and prices are reasonable. Most have small diners. Houses are generally made of wood.

| Also known as the Iwa Administration Building, the Tsuchikage Building is located at the base of the temple steps. It is not much taller than the other buildings, but is boldly tagged as a special structure. It has never been destroyed or rebuilt, or even vandalized. Citizens of Iwagakure are quite respectful of the Tsuchikage and his or her work, whoever it happens to be. Missions will be assigned here, and people can make requests.

| Ryurai Mountain is where Kumogakure is located. The village is set near the top, and there are giant, bonsai-styled trees that surround it. There are also many, many clouds set around it, and there is almost always a dark sky. The mountain itself has seen many storms and has been weathered down a bit, but not enough to deter any inhabitants from going on with life.

| The Kumo Onsen is not quite up to luxurious standards, but it does its job all the same. A welcome place to relax in the hot waters, it can be rather distracting to see more clouds in the sky than just those from the springs. The grounds are made of smooth rocks pressured together, and can become slippery, although there are employees hired to keep them dry. Of course, caution is always still advised.
| 1 | 1 | Mon Jun 07 2010, 02:58 Tatsuya Akira |
| The Kumo training grounds seem to truly have no real limit, aside from the village. They range from the trees to the meadow, and then to the mountain areas that are infertile and deserted. There are some areas, such as the land on which the trees are rooted, connected by bridges, that also serve as training grounds.

| The marketplace at Kumogakure is known for being quite quiet. There is a general mix of buildings and stalls, although when the stands are out, they tend to dominate the business.

| Also known as the Kumo Administration Building, this structure is the tallest of the others, although they are all generally short, based in the centre of the village. It has three floors, and is build with roofs that gently curve upwards at the edges, and especially at the corners. It is made of stone, and no metal exists here.

| Shuubi Meadow can be a dangerous place to visit, especially during a storm. Of course, anyone with any common sense would realize that. It surrounds the extra areas of Kumogakure that is not taken by buildings. It consists of a few trees, and many tall stalks of vegetation.
| 1 | 9 | Thu Sep 02 2010, 07:54 Asukai Rin |
| The ninja academy of Kumogakure is most like that of Kirigakure than those of any other village. It is perhaps not as dark. Teachers urge students to be diligent workers, and focus a bit more on strength than in speed or ninjutsu, although all three are quite required to graduate. The building, in steel blue, is surrounded by a rock wall that stands about 5 feet tall. Inside, the classrooms are set up like a lecture hall, and a chalkboard is used.
| 0 | 0 | |
| There are no apartments in Kumogakure, and only a single inn. Houses are wooden or stone, and contain very little metal, if any at all. All buildings are one-floor tall. The inn is not as friendly as it could be, but for the most part, the innkeeper is more than happy to accept customers. It is known for taking in mysterious guests, as well.

| The "Heaven and Earth" bridge. It spans a deep ravine surrounded by full, medium-sized green trees. The immedate area around the bridge is dirt and grass appears only further out towards the trees. This bridge was destroyed in the past in battle, and has been rebuilt since. It is wide enough for small wagons to pass. It is composed of an upward-curving wooden platform and supported by ropes attached to two main ropes on either side of the bridge.

| The bridge "Where The Gods Do Not Help." It is a large supply bridge shared by Kusagakure and Iwagakure that was destroyed by Konoha shinobi in the Third Great Shinobi War. It spans a river bordering Kusagakure. It is composed of an upward-curving wooden platform and supported by ropes attached to two main ropes on either side of the bridge.

| Bird Country. With Iwa to the north, Suna to the south, and Ame to the east, there is little room for Tori no Kuni to grow. This is very much a farming country, reminiscent of the feudal era. There are daimyo to guard, assassins to ward off, stone roofs to flee across, and high fences to keep the dogs in and the people out. Farther out in the rural areas are the fields from which Tori no Kuni is granted its name. It is also a metaphor for its prosperity.
